Bridgestone carries a history of almost 100 years, since its establishment in 1931 in Shojiro, Japan. As the world’s largest tyre manufacturer, it operates 141 production facilities, and its goal has always been and continues to be the advancement of its product technology, based on its vast experience, both at the production level and through racing. One of its most important products is the new Battlax T33 Sport Touring tyre, which takes over from its predecessor, the T32, and takes development to the next level.
As the horsepower of modern Sport Touring motorcycles continues to increase, the demands placed on their tyres rise accordingly. In addition to power, sport touring motorcycles also have increased weight, which means that the tyre is required to meet higher standards, both in terms of stress and performance. One of the innovations introduced by the new Battlax T33 is that its design makes it ideal for both light and heavy motorcycles, especially on long-distance journeys, where high mileage performance is required while maintaining high levels of grip on dry and wet roads. In addition to Sport Touring motorcycles, of course, it also meets the needs of large Adventure motorcycles with a more road-oriented character and a weight that can exceed 240 kg, as it is also produced in a 19-inch size for the front wheel.

All tyre companies are looking for the ideal combination of lifespan and performance that will offer riders confidence, safety and economy. Taking an already excellent base, the Battlax T32, Bridgestone proceeded with upgrades featuring new rubber compounds that provide it with a 47% longer lifespan. This therefore means that, in the period during which three T32 replacements would be required, with the T33 only two replacements will be needed over the corresponding period, saving a significant amount on motorcycle maintenance costs.
Thanks to the Silica Rich technology of the rear tyre, it ensures higher levels of grip in low-temperature conditions, while Silica Rich EX for the front tyre, with the use of a greater amount of silica, inspires confidence in the rider through the feedback and sense of solidity it provides.
With triple-compound technology that guarantees better grip when leaning
One of the tyre’s most advanced technologies is its triple-compound structure. Bridgestone calls it 3LC and places a harder and more durable rubber compound in the centre of the rear tyre, while a softer compound is placed on the shoulders, offering the highest levels of grip when leaning, allowing the rider to lean safely. This also prevents the phenomenon of tyre “squaring”, allowing it to retain the shape of its crown for a longer period and achieve even more uniform wear characteristics. The stability it offers at high speeds is excellent thanks to HTSPC technology, with the wires inside the carcass cords improving the thermal conductivity of the tyres and the optimal transfer of temperature across the entire tyre tread.
Excellent grip in the wet as well, with a total of 10 sizes
Because a Sport Touring tyre may encounter sudden changes in weather conditions, wet grip is a very important factor. The new tread pattern of the T33 provides more effective water evacuation and outstanding grip in slippery conditions. Thanks to its mono-spiral belt technology (MS Belt), the weight of the T33 has been reduced compared to the T32, improving its handling while also offering better vibration absorption. The contact area of the rear tyre has been increased by 13%, and NanoPro-Tech technology improves grip.
With increased mileage performance, improved grip in both dry and wet conditions, and cutting-edge technologies such as 3LC Cap & Base, MS Belt and HTSPC from the factory’s arsenal of expertise, the Bridgestone Battlax T33 is the ultimate and most advanced Sport Touring tyre from the Japanese company. It is produced in a total of 10 sizes, four front sizes (for 17-, 18- and 19-inch wheels) and six rear sizes for 17-inch wheels, with widths ranging from 150 to 190 millimetres.
